ABOUT US
The Fairview and Area Palliative Care Society was created to assist patients and their families with their needs at the end of their life. A palliative patient is someone for whom a cure is no longer possible. Therapy is aimed at providing support, reduce suffering, and improve the quality of life for the person, family and friends. At this point in your life, you and your family have the option of choosing your type of care. Your choices should be discussed with your doctor to see if a suitable program can be arranged. Your care can be in the hospital, Long Term Care or at home or a combination of these.
OUR SERVICE
The Fairview Palliative Care Society boundary stretches East from Whitelaw, South to Dunvegan, North to Bear Canyon, and everywhere in between. Our society provides equipment that is not covered by Alberta Health Services. We provide equipment for people with palliative needs in the Acute Care, Long Term Care and Home Care settings. We also provide educational opportunities for area residents who are interested in palliative care.
MEMORY GARDEN
The Fairview & Area Palliative Care Society Memory Garden was created through the generosity of our community as a place to honour and remember loved ones. The garden provides a peaceful and welcoming space for reflection, remembrance, and connection. It is a lasting tribute to those who have touched our lives and a reminder of the care and compassion that brings our community together.
